Finally got the baseplate installed on the Escape. Took a little longer since I fell into the "due to manufacturing variations" category for some non-existant weld nuts.

Only side effect I have found in that the temperature sensor is reporting about +8F higher than actual outside temp. I'll have to try moving the sensor which I had to relocate off the stock frame brace and move to the baseplate which replaces it.

First out will probably be 1st weekend in June, for a short 100 (each way) trip. I've read enough of forums since last August to know about how the fluid needs to be set and the steps to go through spec'd out by Ford as a "fix".

Hoping for the best. I really like the Escape, but sometimes I'm a bit miffed about switching from an '02 Explorer :confused5:
