2008 Taurus. Had a typical problem where fan only works on 1 setting, 4. Did the logical thing and bought a blower motor resistor. Old one looked fried. Installed new one with same results. Could the switch be bad or I'm hoping it's a fuse.

If I could get to the switch I could do a continuity check on the plug at the resistor but I can't figure how to do that easily.

Thanks Dominic, I just can't figure how to remove it. There's a gap along the perimeter of the temp control unit so you must have to insert a flat metal tool to disengage clips I'm guessing. Not sure where though. The older model had 4 holes to put the tool in.

Do you have any friends at Ford or a body shop that can advise you
Or You may go to E-Bay and get a shop manual
