I got my '09 Escape XLS last year and loved it. It carried everything I needed and fit the entire family without being too big.

As of late, I've started feeling "meh" about my Escape. I'm not sure why, but I've been wishing I had a car again. The excitement I had for the Escape is gone and it now just feels boring. Alas, getting something else is out of the question.

Anyone else get bored with their Escape? No? Help me love mine again. Give me some ideas to bring the excitement back.

Thanks guys.

Here's my favorite uses:

Roadtrips...tailgating at concerts....loaded up with gear for an adventure like MTB, hiking, camping...Trips to Home Depot and fill it with bark bulch and supplies for projects....Drive on a snowy day for some skiing, etc. etc.

I got the loaded V6 after having the base model 4-cyl on a 2006 (I have the Tribute not the Escape), and really enjoy the power and sound of the engine. My only wishes with the vehicle would be a bit sportier suspension/tire setup, manual shift control, and 4-wheel discs.

It helps I have a sport-bike for when I feel the need for speed and handling....

Agree with above that a nice detail always helps. Or, go rent a cheaper car for a day, you will be wishing you had your truck back.

i can't even imagine......i LOVE my escape!!! i have a 2001.His name is Vincent von Hammond. i call him Vinnie.he's a 4 cylinder, shiny black,5 speed. he fits me perfectly.i have hauled everything from groceries...to a goat! i keep blankets and pillows in the back just in case i want to fold down the seats and camp out! i got a little power inverter that i use to plug in a small fan. i think finding the right transportation is like finding the right person to spend your life with....don't just settle for something.you might not be Escape compatible if you're not still in love with yours....or maybe like a human relationship, you need to do something to get the fire going again. Zoom ute may be right...borrow or rent a "car".....take your family along and see if you miss your "escape!"

I love mine . Early some morning wash and vacuum thoroughly , then fine a nice shady place and wax it to a beautiful shine. Next go for a quiet drive in a nice park and have a pick-nick . You could even do the wax at the park . I ordered a matching set of side moldings for mine that look great and help protect the doors from pings . Cheers !!
