So how fast is fast?

I know of a couple 2008 ZO6's that will eat your car for Breakfast and Poop it out after lunch. Sorry but there always is a car faster than yours.

Well I have personally smoked a new challenger srt8 by over 1 full second in the 1/4 mile.

first is, how fast is it when the needle goes all the way back around to 5 on an 85mph speedo? that's not even topping it out...

second it is true there is always a faster car.

like i said before this thread was started in bad taste

You say that like it's a bad thing.
technically speaking... it is. i make it a point trying not to race fellow ford guys, unless they have the 4.6L, in which case I try to show them what an old carb'd-pushrod engine can do compared to their new fangled crap.

come on the new Camaro V6 has more power than that thing!?!?!?!:frown2:

Ever sit in a new Camaro? I just sat in one yesterday while I was getting some warranty work done to my Corvette, the Camaro is pure crap in the interior department.... Yeah it may be faster but the interior is bad.

the camaro looks like complete crap too in my opinion. the challenger is atleast closer to the 1970... ford still did it the best though... i was shocked when my uncle, A die hard chevy fan for the last 53 years, called the camaro crap, and said he wants to buy the new mustang. i told him to wait for the 2011 so he can get a 5.0 with what was it, like 412HP? it may be less powerful than the craparo, and the challenger, but it also weighs a lot less:ihih:

What motor is in that beast? Need some pics! I'm with ya on showin up all the 4.6 guys but rice tastes so much better. I am only just getting by the newer Civic Si cuz I'm only getting 160hp/230tq to the ground. Sad, believe me, I know, it sucks. New Demon 625 on the way.

I have great fun making the ricers around my area look stupid with my AWD Durango R/T. It'll be even more fun when I get my 200 six powered Zephyr Z7 turbo'd and I'm puttin well over 400 hp to the ground.

i turned it into a 306 stroker that puts out 435hp- 461ft/lbs according to the dyno at the tech near my house. on top of that it weighs 2700lbs, so about 1.5 tons. 3.73 rear w/posi. its backed with a C4, 2200 stall.

Depends on the Delorean. There are a few out there with engines that are not stock or highly modified from a big turbo powered PRV to a Lotus engine, I even know a guy with a Chevy 350 in his Delorean.

or if you git one straight from Ireland. they had way more power than the US got. the one in Back to the Future had a Porche engine in it...

Big myth because the engine was the exact same, only thing missing was the catalytic converter.

The BTTF car had the same engine in it but had a sound effect dubbed into it. Dont tell me the Doors in the movie actually made that noise, now.

I was heavily involved with the Delorean from 2001-2008 and still go on their forums now and again.

I have a video from DCS 2004 where Bob Gale (the writer for BTTF) was telling us how crappy their Deloreans were and how the PRV v6 kept acting up.

If you want to see how involved I was into Deloreans check out my photo site.
