Question
Before, I open my mouth and change feet....is the Chat Room like Vegas? What happens to the "chat" in the chat room, do the conversations stay like permlinks???

Conversations do not stay like permlinks. Which is the only problem I see with the chat room. If people start asking car questions in there and not in the forums, the chat room will do more bad then good.

We will just have to see how it goes.

I thought of that and considered though that one should be able to cut and paste a chat session into a thread, to maintain continuity of the thread.

Also if it gets busy with different topics going on, then it would be helpful to be able to create different rooms.

You should be able to copy and paste stuff now as you please. Adding more rooms will come when the initial chat room gets going, like you said.
