Are there any grease fittings or zerks on the chassis of the 09 Escape? The manual makes no mention as far as I know.

As it pertains for the Escape I'm not totally sure. But every Ford I've seen or owned (92 Ranger,93 & 94 Escort,98 Windstar). Have never had grease fittings from the manufacturer.. So I think I'm safe in assuming that the Escape wouldn't have them either.

Doesn't every ball joint, tie rod end, etc. eventually leak though? Hence the need for greasing? Or have they found a way to really seal them?

Yes they eventually need greasing.. But tell that to the car manufacturer that don't put them on so you have to replace them rather than maintain them...

P.S. I'm sure you won't find a person on this forum that doesn't agree with you.. Grease fittings should be on all suspension parts that need to be lubed..That's why the after market parts come with fittings..
