For my '90 Bronco I got the Ford EVTM Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual for about $20, on ebay I'd recommend that you do the same

I would use AllData DIY.com electronic manual.You get a 1yr subscription for about $25 and renewals are cheaper.It contains everything you will need to diag and fix the truck

I use the OEM manuals on DVD/CD, they pop up on ebay all the time. The last set I bought covers all Ford cars & trucks (up to F550) from 1996 to 2008....$28 delivered.
