Ok here we go again. 98 windstar 3.8 150,000 with new head & intake gaskets, freshly cleaned intake & heads. Oil light is coming on after engine heats up. It happens as you come to a stop. Give a little bit of gas & it turns off. I've checked the oil & level is fine & no longer milky. It's super clean. Oil is reaching the the heads & clean. So there's no gasket leaks.Idles fine & doesn't try to die. I had this problem before doing the gaskets & figured it was due to the coolant getting into the oil pan.But now that is fixed & light still tries to come on after a stop. After doing some more research on the net. I'm finding this might be a common problem with high mileage vehicles that just relates to oil viscosity.

It is probably due to bearing wear you could try a thicker oil.I would hook up a manual oil presure gauge and verify what oil pressure is warm @ idle.
