I have a 1989 Country Squire that had sat for longer than I’ve been alive, I’m 20, and all the gaskets have gone plus a piston is just totally obliterated. I would like to slap in a police interceptor engine or possibly whole subframe. Does the panther platform stay consistent through out the entire 33 year run?

    No it is not!

The first gen panther ended in 1990/1991
The platform changed. It was lightened to loose some weight for the next gen.

And while the wagon and some other models are built on that platform the frame is different for each model and not interchangable.

And there is no sub-frame. These are a full frame vehicles.

Poice interceptor engines should fit easily. However I would take the transmission and electronics if I were doing that type a swap. There are differences in the transmission and electronics that you want to have with the engine to get a package.
