To the last message, take off and "redo" stainless steel (not chromaluminum as I originaly stated 6/21/10) pieces??? That would be a waste of money as the parts are too thin to redo, especially if he had lost the parts to begin with.
All of the TALL indshields from 1960 through the 1965 model years had the same "chrome" trim (which are actually an alloy of chrome and aluminum.WRONG!). (Which are actually STAINLESS STEEL)Likewise the hardtop and converts during 63-65 with SHORT windsheilds used the identical trim pieces which were UNIQUE to those short windshields.
I did find a pair of front corner pieces in my toolbox, they fit the TALL windshield of the sedans and wagons, NOT the convert/hardtop. Send me a private message through this site as I will be montitoring the site next week.
As for the back glass: Sedans: If there is trim then it covers the top and sides, NOT the bottom unless the car is a hardtop.
However, not all trim levels had trim around the back glass, just the bare rubvber sealer.
Hope this is not confusing as the more I write today the more confused I'm getting!
Brain fade on my part. The Falcon's front and rear glass trim are made of thin stainless steel. "Chromealuminum" was the alloy which was used for logos (the car's brand name, etc.) and are stamped out. When I was working I made tooling for several car logos and perhaps that's why I originally said "chromealuminum". Sorry bout that!
