Ok, now that i've gotten your attention. I'm a bit confused, i was told that my s/c has a 8.8 from a mustang. But, by looking at the back cover it looks like the normal 7.5... what ya'll think..

Here is a link for the 7.5 : Ford 7.5 - 10 bolt rear cover with 7.5 ring gear. Has c/clip axles with 28 splines.

Here is the link for a 8.8 : Ford 8.8 - 10 bolt rear cover with 8.8 ring gear. Rear applications have c/clip axles in both 28 and 31 spline. Front applications are in late model IFS Ford s and will have 28 spline axles using CV joints.

I would say you have a 7.5 with a sway bar.
