so looking at this recall...
is it really that big of a problem, if there even is one, that your car weighs almost 200lbs less than you thought? you could put it on a scale, and think you must have implemented some weight reduction techinques...:thumbsup:

Thats too funny. But they could get into trouble for not having the correct info...so ! ?

GVWR refers to loaded weight. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. The problem appears to be that the label overstated the amount of weight you could safely carry.

Technically I wonder if Ford would still have to fix this issue if you had one of these recalled cars after all of these years?

Thats what I was wondering too. But if they did...how come when the Muscle Cars back in the day...many of them had more horse power then what it was rated for. So how does that go with out being corrected ?

Yeah I dont get how the Auto MFG's cheated on HP ratings and got away with it. I know they were way off just to make them affordable to insure.

I wonder if any Lawsuits were filed in the 60's and 70's about false lowered HP ratings from Insurance companies and customers?
