The backup/reverse lights suddenly are not working on my 2009 Ford Escape.

Both bulbs have been checked and are good.

The 10 amp fuse in #35 fuse holder is good.

After much Google searching I cannot find the location of the reverse sensor switch. I presume it is on the transmission but exactly where and hopefully can be reached and tested from engine compartment.

Can someone please post a photo or schematic of where this switch is located.

Thanks for any advice.

That was what I was hoping to do, i.e. switch out an existing relay.

My vehicle is being used by my grandson so I will need to catch up to him. He says it is brutal trying to back out of their multi vehicle driveway at night so I better get on this.

Thank you, I will post what I find.

Switched out the relays today and unfortunately no reverse lights.

Both bulbs are good, 10 amp fuse is good and relay is good also.

I guess that leaves the Transmission Range Sensor to be checked which looks to need a hoist so will have that checked as soon as I can book a service appointment. The 2009 Escape has never had a coolant flush and exchange so the time is right.
