My dad has a 2003 expedition his air conditioning went out so he took it to the shop and they told him he should recharge it and if it stops working again then he has a leak. So he recharged it and a month later it has stopped working. Where should I start to figure out what the problem is? Thank you for your help.

Most likely a leak. Find an A/C guy/gal that can check for leaks. If dye was added a month ago it should be easy to find at this point.
